It all began with the journey of a woman searching for her identity & purpose whilst voluntarily wearing a head-wrap daily for a year. This journey encouraged her to look deeper into the value of life rooted with botho/ humanity. The head-wrap became her signature and later “birthed” the brand Seponono Africa selling African print headwraps as corporate gifts, leading her to having one of the biggest banks in Africa becoming her first client on the first month of business operation.
This highlighted the importance of being authentic and intentional, never limiting yourself according to worldly standards but rather allowing yourself to operate in your truth and purpose.
It became very clear that the headwrap was more than just a “mere piece of cloth” but an iconic symbol of empowerment- that would give women their voices, embracing women’s visibility, boldness and their unique stories.
